Murray Outguns and Eliminates Federer from Masters Cup
Roger Federer’s hope of a fifth Tennis Masters Cup title is over after falling to Andy Murray 4-6, 7-6, 7-5 in the final Red Group round-robin match. But Fed’s dream didn’t end without a fight.

Davydenko Secures Shanghai SF; Federer Must Beat Murray Friday
Play in the Gold Group at the Tennis Masters Cup Shanghai is now complete, and Novak Djokovic is the winner and in second is Nikolay Davydenko who clinched his semifinal place earlier today with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Juan Martin Del Potro.

Federer Bumped by Simon at Masters Cup; Murray Ousts Roddick
It wasn’t quite the start Roger Federer was hoping for in his opener at the Shanghai Tennis Masters Cup. The four-time year-end champion fell earlier today to the rising Gilles Simon 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 in Red Group round-robin play.

Does anybody actually care about the Doha WTA Championships? I’m sure are there some pockets of people that do, but overall there just doesn’t seem to be a lot of buzz about the event.

Nadal Withdraws from Tennis Masters Cup Shanghai, Simon Named Replacement
World No. 1 Rafael Nadal will forgo the season-ending Shanghai Tennis Masters Cup to recuperate from a right knee injury. Nadal, who is assured of finishing 2008 as the No. 1 player for a first time, hurt his knee during his match against Nikolay Davydenko in the quarterfinals at Paris last Friday.

Nadal, Federer, Roddick Remain Scary-Good in Paris
The hits just keep on coming from Paris. Former/Future year-end No. 1s Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Andy Roddick all enjoyed easy wins today setting up for some great matches Friday in the quarterfinals at the Tennis Masters Series Paris, the final stop of the 2008 ATP regular season.
